Jules-Eugène Lagrange, a doctor from Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, had a villa built in 1881 in the heart of this huge wooded park, which he named Villa Mauresque, to live in with his wife.
The creation of the Corniche road cut through the huge park that surrounded the villas, and the beautiful original minaret has unfortunately disappeared over time. Pierre Chapoulart built other villas in the Moorish style, such as the famous Villa d'Hyères, a villa in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, and one in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.
A private mansion that became a luxury hotel on the French Riviera, it was then restored to its former glory, while retaining its original character... Its location and historical significance make it one of the few listed properties on the French Riviera, opening its doors to a privileged few in search of tranquility, comfort, and luxury.
